Voodoo Dolls
Vodoun is a religion that originates from Africa.
It is better known as Voodoo, which means Spirit of god.
People who practice voodoo worship spirits called the Loa, who control Love, Happiness, families, finance, justice and revenge.
In return for their worship the Loa help with their requests for the above.
Voodoo is mainly used for changes for the better and rarely focuses on use of ‘black magic’.
Voodoo dolls are not used in places where the religion is practiced.
They are believed to have originated from New Orleans in the early 1900’s from the African slaves.
The voodoo doll is used to represent the spirit of a person.
The pins are not to cause harm directly but in fact to direct the good or bad energies towards or away from the person that the doll represents. White pins are used to attract good energies, coloured or black pins to keep them away.
You should talk to and treat the doll as you would the person that it represents.
You should request that they act to your will, effectively controlling that person.

Although these work perfectly well, some think that if you make the doll yourself it will have more of your energies and emotions in it and will work better.
You can make your doll from pretty much anything including candles, clothing (something belonging to the person you are making the doll of would work well), plastercine, blue tak, straw, sticks, pretty much anything that can be made into the shape of a person.
The most important thing to do with your voodoo doll is the write or engrave the person it represents name somewhere on the doll.
The doll does not need to look like the person it represents although you can make it resemble them if you desire.
You should have something belonging to the person, which can be sewn inside of the doll or you can make a little bag for the doll and place the item inside.
This item can be writing, hair, a piece of their clothing, a photo, something that is linked to that person.
If it is a doll to bring luck or love the doll can be decorated in lucky charms, if representing jobs - items associated with the job, if love things such as hearts and lips, something that represents whatever you wish them to have luck in.
If it is for revenge, you should only wish the person as much hurt or pain as they have caused you, no more.
You should also remember the law of threefold or compensation and retribution, that anything you do to that person will come back to you. If you send out love, the love will be returned, if you wish harm on somebody, the harm will be returned to you.
The most important thing to remember is that, the doll is neither good or evil it is the will of the person using it that makes it so.
The doll cannot work without someone controlling it or supplying it with energies.
