Spirit Guides
Spirit guides are people who have passed away who choose to progress by guiding and assisting in the development of someone who is living.
A spirit guide may be with you for your entire life or they may only stay with you for a short time to be with you while you experience certain things and learn lessons that they can guide you with.
They appear to you usually as being how they were when they were in one of their previous existences.
Spirit guides can help the potential physical medium, explaining to them and their sitters the correct conditions that they should create in order for materialization to occur.
Once the medium is able to achieve this the guide may also materialize to the sitters.
The medium will have a guide called a doorkeeper who will act as a protector to the medium.
It is the job of the doorkeeper to stop unwanted spirits from coming through the medium and they will also give advice on sitters.
The doorkeepers are normally powerful spirits and will demonstrate this power to anyone who endangers their medium.
Spirit guides also work with healers. The spirit guide will direct the healing energies to the healer so that they are able to pass them on to the patient.
The spirit guide can also act as a go between for a medium. The spirit will bring people from the other side to the medium so that the messages can be given to comfort the recipient.
They can tell the medium things about the person or give the message if the link between the medium and the person is not very strong.
The guide will also stop communication when it is not practical for the medium to communicate.
The medium normally has a good relationship with at least one of their spirit guides.
We are able to communicate with spirit guides in exactly the same way as we do other spirits although the link with the spirit guide is often stronger as they usually have communicated with a medium before.
As like attracts like, the spirit guide will normally have a similar personality to the medium or will have had similar experiences in their life.
