Psychic Gifts

Auras

An aura is the life force that surrounds all living objects.

All people are able to either see or sense a person’s aura if taught.

There is a more detailed explanation of auras on the recommended sites page.

See/Sensing an Aura

Some people are able to see an aura with their eyes open. Most times this will start as either a coloured blur when the person moves or like when light reflects on a bubble.

For people who cannot see auras this way this technique is just as effective and people who see auras will normally see the same color that you do.

To see somebody else’s aura, sit opposite them and look at them for about a minute, then close your eyes for about 30 seconds and you should either see or feel a colour (a colour that comes to mind).

To see your own aura try the same thing but with your hand, hold it in front of your face, look and then close your eyes.

The meanings of the colours are listed below.

Auragraphs

An auragraph is a picture of a person’s aura.

You can do this in many different ways.

The best way to start is by drawing a black out line of a person (like a gingerbread man), sitting with a person and coloring it in with whichever colours you feel.

Once you have done this a couple of times or if you feel more comfortable doing it this way you can just draw whatever comes to mind and colour in whichever colours you feel are right.

I have seen auragraphs done of flames, butterflies, angels, trees and much more. The thing you draw can be just as important to describing the person as the colours are.

Once you have finished your auragraph you can interpret them using the guides below and relate them to different areas or periods of the persons life.

Psychometry

Psychometry is the name given to the practice of reading objects from touch.

This name was given by Professor Joseph R Buchanan, in 1842, taken from the words Psyche meaning soul and Metron meaning measure.

He believed that all objects have a memory and that psychometrists can tap into this memory.

They do this by either holding the object in their hands or by placing it to their forehead.

When they do this they can pick up on illnesses, emotions, sounds, smells, tastes and pictures.

Professor Buchanan carried out several experiments where he gave his students an unmarked bottle of medicine to hold and they all reacted as if they had taken the medicine contained in the bottle. Further details of these experiments can be found in his book Journal of man.

Although you can use any object, objects such as keys and metal jewellery tend to work best.

When someone does psychometry they are in a normal state, they do not need to go into a trance etc.

Psychometrists often work with the police on cases such as murders and missing persons cases by reading photos or objects.

How to do psychometry

You need a minimum of two people, the other person should give you an object belonging to them which you should then hold in your hands and close your eyes.

After a couple of moments you may see images or have feelings or thoughts – these will be linked to the object, which you are holding.

Take your time and be patient, stay relaxed, as this will make you more receptive.

You can also use this technique for reading flowers and ribbons etc.

All you need to do is substitute the object for your partners chosen flower or ribbon and read it in the same way as above.
